I'm proud of this one.

I created the NeuroWild Communication Assist Tool (CAT) to help improve communication outcomes between people who may have mismatched communication styles.

It contains an initial communication settings page where individuals can consciously optimise their environment, as well as select neurodiversity-affirming accommodations and modifications to suit their social communication preferences. It also includes seven different sections containing options, prompts and scripts to help conversation partners move towards effective communication and shared understanding.

Why?

The NeuroWild CAT was inspired by the Double Empathy Problem (Damien Milton). Effective communication is not the sole responsibility of one person. It is a two-way street and requires teamwork and shared understanding. I hope that this tool takes some of the burden off our neurodivergent community.
